My story began, like most start-up small business owners; with a genuine love for creating something a bit different and the enthusiasm for providing new things to my community, family and friends.Alas, in 2021, I decided to take the plunge to start my small business! I decided to create a product that stood out. I was going to add my own twist on sustainable candles.I combined my love for candles with my love for culinary and coffee by incorporating two unique aspects: 1) a love for all things sweet and savory and 2) coffee, because coffee is just a spectacular energizing treat. This is how Jewels Makes Scents was conceived. I hope you enjoy my candles and the unique vessels and scent creations I make!

There is something uniquely imperfect about Rae Dunn coffee mugs. So this is where I started. This was a perfect fit to my "why". The quirky sayings are just a bonus. My passion for all things culinary (sweet and savory) applied to creating candles. This quickly transformed into creating unique, imperfect phenomenal scented candles.

As I am sure you are aware, best laid plans. This allowed me the option of giving my customers something a bit more personal. By offering a "custom" candle option. This allows the customer to tailor their order to their precise wants and needs, all the way down to the vessel.

My "WHY"? That is easy. To provide my customers, family and friends the opportunity to connect with their most cherished, heartfelt memories. That by simply smelling a candle scent, they can be taken right down memory lane and experience such joy and a sense of inner peace. Not to mention, setting the stage for a relaxing observance. Giving a sense of calm amidst life's chaotic moments. Most importantly, to be blessed to witness the expression on their faces when they first smell a custom candle.
